Most homes I’ve been in keep bread on the counter. Sure, sometimes it is in the pantry or cupboard, but most of the times it is right there on the counter. We might as well embrace it, because there are some beautiful and functional bread boxes. Bread boxes make a lot of sense if you’re in a small kitchen, but they also make sense in big kitchens too to keep like items together. I think everyone needs one … well, if your family uses bread. Six people in this house – plenty of sandwiches are made here every single day!
My breadbox looks good on the counter, but it also has a ton of space to keep multiple bread items. I put tortillas and buns in there too. It holds so much! In the cabinet right above this I keep honey and peanut butter.
I’ve scoured the internet to find the creme de la creme of bread box solutions!
Some of them are sleek, stylish, and sophisticated. Some are so beautiful that they are show-stoppers, and some are so functional they come with cutting boards!
I may be biased, but I included my own bread box in this list. There are 4 different colors, but I love the light blue one … obviously.

I didn’t even realize people still used bread boxes. We keep our bread in a cabinet under where we keep the peanut butter and such.
