Making planners is so fun for me. It doesn’t really make sense from a business stand-point – handmaking planners costs a lot more than the cheap planners you can grab at the grocery store and there isn’t a lot of profit here. I just love to do it! I recognize my planners are for a niche group of people. If you prefer planners mass-made in a factory in China, this post is probably not for you. My planners are designed, printed, cut, and hole punched by a human (me). I am very happy to say that I was able to create a planner at an improved price point because I started using Poly (bendable plastic) covers that are a lot more affordable than the fancy leather ones I’ve sold in the past. I know a lot of people would prefer the handmade planners, they just need it to be affordable. (I am selling one single fancy version this year, though I may make more than one if I get enough requests.)
If you love a planner that is thoughtfully created to be SO FUNCTIONAL and you love the thrill of unwrapping a gorgeous planner made just for you, you are definitely in the right place! I hope you love my planners, but if not, that’s okay. I really just hope you find a planner that works for you, that is what is most important. The people that have been buying my planners since 2015 tell me that there is no other planner that fits their brain. That’s why I started creating planners in the first place, there was nothing out there that organized things in a way my brain needed.
I run my planner shop 100% on my own, every step. I have a Xerox machine and an impressive paper cutter that cuts 150 pages in half in one swipe of the blade. I make each individual tab divider by laminating nice paper and cutting each tab out one at a time in my Silhouette cameo. I give each tab divider a couple of extra runs through the laminator after my Silhoutte cuts it and after I hole punch it as well. I put the planners together, take pictures, put the planners on the website, prepare your orders, and drive the planners to the post office. I do all of it and I love every second!
There are different ways to try my planner!
Planner Download – You can buy the planner files and print them yourself. Some people buy the planner download just to be able to print the extra pages like grocery pages, note paper, and daily planning pages, but still buy the Refill Pages for their main planner. (See my tips for putting together your planner from the download.)
Refill Pages – if you already have a cover with rings from a previous year or want to buy your own, but you don’t want to print yourself … refill pages are for you!
Simple Planner (Clear) or Simple Planner (Colorful) – This is a new offering this year and I’m so excited to be able to have something so affordable! This is simply the refill pages with a durable poly (bendable plastic) cover!
Complete Planner – These complete planners include the cover, rings, tab dividers, and pages!
About shipping costs – My planner shop isn’t big enough to qualify for bulk shipping prices. I’m sorry I have to charge $8 shipping (and I only ship to the US right now). If it makes you feel better, it always costs me more than $8 to actually ship it to you via Priority 1-3 day Mail. I am definitely not making money from your shipping costs!
If you’ve been using my planners for years, thank you and I hope you keep loving them. If you’ve never tried my planner before, I hope this will be the year you do!
From my home to yours,
Mary
