We moved furniture into this house on Labor Day weekend. In celebration of a month living in our new house in Texas, I thought I’d share the pictures I took the day before the furniture arrived.
I call these the “before” pictures.
Of all the homes I looked at, I chose this house, so obviously I like it. But, there is no such thing as a perfect house and I have a very long list of things to do to get this house in fantastic shape. Slowly we are settling in, even though theย Water Lalapalooza 2016 has slowed us down.
I cannot wait to show you all the projects I’ve been working on and even more are coming, but first we need to start at the beginning.
And I’m sorry, I forgot to take pictures of some rooms and places for this tour. I forgot the laundry room, the entire upstairs loft area that is my work studio, and little miscellaneous areas. (I have garage pictures coming next week when I show you how I got the garage ready for moving in.) One of these days I think I’ll work myself up into doing another Facebook Live Tour… would you want to see that? Those take a lot of guts!
The pictures …. there are a LOT of pictures!

I hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into our new home. Now you have a starting point as you see the updates coming. Starting points kind of sound like fresh starts. I like fresh starts!
From my home to yours,
Mary
Lovely house, every room!!
Thank you!
The pics were just a strip of the top portion of the rooms. I turned my iPad, but that didn’t help.
I’m so sorry, I’m not sure what’s happening. The pics are correct on my mobile device and stretched a little on my computer, so I’m not seeing the same error. What Internet browser are you using?
Beautiful house Mary and huge! I sincerely hope you and your family enjoy many happy years in your new home. Hope you like Texas.
Thank you! We’re liking it okay so far!
Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to see how you decorate and organize it. Like having a blank canvas.
I see color and life coming to that beautiful house!
Thank you! And oh yes, me + color = BFFs!
Yes! This is going to be a fun house to decorate/organize!
Mary, it’s beautiful!!!! I’m looking forward to seeing it when your all moved in!! Can’t wait to see how you decorate it!!
Thank you! I also can’t wait to see how I decorate it – lol. ๐
From Argentina Congratulationes!!!!!!
Mary, your new hause is VERY, VERY beautiful!!!!!
In what city of Texas is it?
Thank you!! We’re in DFW – so much awesomeness around here!
I would absolutely love to see the live tour. You were fabulous when you toured your last home. ๐
Thank you, Jan!!!
Loved the pictures. We may be moving to TX this summer, so it was nice to get a view of a house not on a real estate site.
It was sometimes hard to read what the room was, becuase the Mary Organizes watermark (?) was behind it. One should probably be left or right, and the other centered.
Thanks for the feedback. I probably won’t go back and change that (onward and upward), but that is good to know for future slideshows. Of course, I didn’t know I’d be doing slideshows … that became obvious when I had a billion pictures and didn’t want more than one blog post for them, though. ๐
Good luck with your move to Texas. It has been a bit of a culture shock, but we’ve been overall happy with the move.
Beautiful home Mary!! I am so happy for you!! I can’t wait to see how you transform it!
Thank you! I’ve got so many things in the works!
