Organized Garage: Setup A Donation Station

The garage is often the place we toss items we plan to donate. Those donate items and items that should be donated (but we can’t make up our minds about) are usually a big part of the mess in a garage. A donation station gives you a set location to place your donate items, which helps your entire garage feel more organized.

    Hi Mary,
Just looking through the garage posts & wondering how you keep things clean. Mine is always dirty from what the cars bring in & bugs/spider webs. I hate the thought of cleaning the garage weekly like the house.

I do not clean my garage weekly, though my kids have the chore to sweep it weekly. They, of course, do not do it very well or thoroughly and go around cars if they are parked inside, but it makes a difference than not doing it at all. I give it a quick spruce up about 2-3 times per year. Of course, I cleaned my garage before I took pictures of it because I have my pride, lol. It is normal to find some dust and grime in your garage. If you keep it pretty straightened up and clutter-free, the dust and grime isn’t so bad.
