It’s good to store things nearby where you use them, and I noticed that I was always dragging First Aid Supplies to this bathroom to clean up scrapes and bandage up the wounded. It only made sense to set up shop for First Aid Supplies right here in our half bath we call the Powder Bathroom. This little bathroom is by our Mud Area, Laundry Room, Kids Command Center, Garage, Living Room, and the hallway to our Master Bedroom. It’s a very convenient place for the First Aid stuff.

I’ve dedicated the bottom drawer of this bathroom to all First Aid Supplies.

Of course it took a lot of measuring and playing with containers at the store to find the right configuration, but I’m patient when I’m container shopping. I bring my measurements to the store and I figure it out.

The most commonly used things I keep right on top – antiseptics, ointments, band aids, specialty band aids, gauze, etc.

Most containers are deep and go to the bottom of the drawer, but the one that has the rubbing alcohol in it is shallow and has a matching container underneath with splints and wraps.

These small deep containers were perfect for corralling the different First Aid components. This one has a lot of tape and gauze.

To get everything to fit just right, I had to turn this small container on its side.

It is quite convenient to tell guests or my now older children to help themselves to these supplies, and to know they are in an area easily accessed by anyone.

That’s what I do for my First Aid Supplies, what do you do?

From my home to yours,
Mary

What did you do with the lids to those containers that are left open? Did you get rid of them? Store them somewhere else?

I put them above the upper cabinet above the toilet. I usually keep lids to containers even when I don’t use the lids for a while. It isn’t unheard of for me to re-arrange stuff and so I’ll usually need that lid again in the future. I usually hide it/ tuck it away somewhere close to the containers.
