I go through phases where I love silk flowers, then I hate all my silk flowers. Probably there isn’t much wrong with the actual flowers, but it is me who just needs a change in my scenery. I’ve figured out what to do with all the fake flowers that need new life: I recycle them into wreaths!
When I was packing to move, I decided against bringing these large flower vases and the flowers inside of them. I decided to pop all the flowers off the ends and threw them in a box.
When we arrived here in Texas and after I was settled, which took an extra long time with all the floods, I was finally ready to make the wreath.
I bought a grape vine wreath from Hobby Lobby and glue gunned the leaves first, then the flower heads. I love how it turned out! It is a little springy for fall, but I still wanted to show you this for inspiration. You could do this with more than just flowers and for any season.
Wreaths are really not as hard to make as you’d think! And especially if you already have most of the supplies … give it a try!
From my home to yours,
Mary
