Ritz Marshmallow Puff

Because you probably won’t eat enough candy this week, I want to share one of our Favorite Treats Ever. I will have my seven-year old Allison show how easy and quick these are to make.

This “recipe” is so simple that your kids could do most of it without you, except the oven portion. These can go from perfect to burnt really quickly, so definitely keep an eye out when they’re heading to the oven.

To make these Ritz Marshmallow Puffs, start by spreading a little peanut butter on each Ritz.

Then, plop a marshmallow on top of the peanut butter.

Broil for a couple minutes, until perfectly golden on top! You’ll want to keep your eye on them! Marshmallows can go from perfectly golden brown to burnt really fast!

Squish the cooked marshmallow down right when they come out of the oven and still hot.

Ritz Marshmallow Puff

A simple but delicious 3 ingredient treat!
Author Mary Johanson

Equipment

  • Ritz Crackers
  • Peanut Butter
  • Large Marshmallows

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to broil setting.
  • Spread peanut butter on cracker.
  • Place cracker on cookie sheet.
  • Place large marshmallow on cracker.
  • Put cookie sheet in oven.
  • Watch until the marshmallows are golden brown on top. Should be about 2 minutes, or less.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Push marshmallow down to flatten for easier eating.
  • Eat and enjoy!

Now, eat and enjoy!

Yep, easiest treat ever! I grew up with my mom pulling these out as a trick every so often. I’ve tried variations with Nutella, etc., but naturally drift right back to peanut butter. Did I mention that my entire family thinks this is a gourmet treat? Yeah, let’s keep the truth between us.

Have a safe and happy Halloween this week!

From my home to yours,
Mary

These look interesting. Kind of like a non chocolate version of S’mores. I’m going to have to try these, just need to buy those big marshmallows. Thanks for sharing.

These look so yummy! The combination of peanuts, ritz and marshmallows is very tempting right now! Shame I am already in my PJs and cannot pop out to the shop to get some marshmallows!
    Have a great day!

Love this idea. My kids are allergic to peanut butter but I bet I can do this with Nutella

I grew up eating these and still make them now. The o my difference is that my mom and I both use 3 mini marshmallows on top instead of a large marshmallow. So yummy!
