Welcome to Week 4 of the Spring Cleaning Challenge. This week might be my favorite because we’re going to tackle lots of little odd jobs that will be so satisfying to complete. Some of these tasks are what we’d traditionally associate with spring cleaning.
Some of these jobs I hire out – like having my dryer vent cleaned. Here in Texas, they send the dryer lint duct up through the roof instead of out the side, so things routinely clog up. If I don’t get my dryer vent cleaned every year, my dryer will stop working. It has happened before! This is something that lots of people DIY, but unfortunately I’m still banned from ladders until I’m not so dizzy all the time and won’t be getting on my roof. If you can climb a ladder and aren’t afraid of following a Youtube tutorial, I say go for it! But as always, never feel bad if you need to ask for help.
If you haven’t yet, I suggest grabbing the Printable Pack Bundle. It’s got lots of great printables to help you with your spring cleaning, including the cleaning schedule and checklists, but there’s even more than that!

Alright alright alright … let’s talk about this week’s assignments!
Week 4: The Odd Jobs
- Monday – Clean washing machine
- Tuesday – Clean dryer & dryer vent
- Wednesday – Clean couches & upholstered chairs
- Thursday – Dust unexpected places that aren’t cleaned regularly
- Friday – Refresh bedding
- Saturday – Complete unfinished tasks from the week
Remember, it is not “cheating” to ask for help. Get your family involved or even hire help. There’s not a rule that you have to do everything yourself!
The 6-Week Plan
To give you an idea of what to expect from here on out, here’s the general plan for the 6 weeks of spring cleaning. There’s two weeks left – still lots of good to come.

I can’t wait to hear about how this week goes for you. Have fun getting a lot of odd jobs done around your house!
From my home to yours,
Mary
