Welcome to Part 2 of the Spring Clean Challenge!
Part 1 just finished. If you missed it, be sure to check it out. We went through different areas of the house and decluttered, tidied, organized, or cleaned. The selected areas were picked because of the big difference they would make. Especially, on how those assignments would make Part 2 so much easier.
Part 2 begins this week. Part 2 should conquer that feeling of needing or wanting to “catch-up.” If you completed the Declutter Challenge, you’ve already gone through room by room decluttering. Part 1 of this challenge, you were doing different Spring Clean jobs in many of these rooms. Now, you’ll dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s to make sure your home is clean and fresh. This week is about making sure every room has a deep clean so that the cleaning routines we start in Part 3 are easier to maintain.
Be sure to read through to the end if you want the Quick Version to this week’s assignment.
For Part 2, we will follow the calendar for Days 22-28 …
Spring Cleaning Part 2: Days 22-28
If the assignment is a link, it means I’ve written a blog post to help!
If one of these days is going to be extra difficult because it is starting out really messy, then this post about Quick-Cleaning Strategies may help you. It is definitely easier to deep clean if you get things tidy first!
This part of the challenge will be made a lot easier with the checklists from the Spring Cleaning Pack.
How I get this part done year-round
I admit that we get this part done all though-out the year. I use the version of my Household Checklist found in my planners with the room-by-room checklists from the Spring Cleaning Printable Pack. We give each room in our house a deep clean once a year. Not just me, of course, I enlist my family to help.
Even if you haven’t done this year round in the past, if that idea sounds more do-able to you, get as much as you can this week, then start your own yearly schedule. This is the Quick Version of this week. If I do about one area of my home per month, that is the pace that works for us.
If you have any questions about this week, don’t hesitate to ask. This week is definitely a challenge, but you can do this!
