We are ready to start our Spring Cleaning Challenge. Spring Cleaning just really means “deep cleaning,” which is okay to do any time.
So whenever you’re ready to start, start here with Week 1!
I know I normally say we clean from the inside out, which normally means we’d do our private areas before our public areas. But I’m switching things up this year. Let’s start with all of our main areas because you’ll feel the hugest sense of relief after you do these areas … and I want that for you!
The Entire 5-Week Plan
If you want to see the entire plan right now, so you can mix around all the assignments, you can find the printable bundle here. And when I say “mix around the assignments” – I mean it: the calendar and checklists are completely editable! (As well as all the other goodies loaded into the bundle.)

SPRING CLEANING PACK Includes:
- Spring Cleaning Calendar (Customizable) – 1 page
- Spring Cleaning Checklists (Customizable) – 18 pages {Checklists include – List of Rooms, Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Office, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Halls & Closets, Laundry Room, Household, Garage, Outdoors, Bonus, and 5 empty lists of varying colors in which even the room heading is editable.}
- Cleaning How To Guide & Tips – 8 pages
- Home Management & Weekly Cleaning Routine Printable (Customizable with Sample Schedules) – 4 pages
- Household Checklist, known as the HH List (Customizable with Sample List) – 2 pages
- Kids Chore List Printable (Customizable with Sample List and Preschooler Sticker Chart) – 3 pages

This Week’s Assignment
You are going to go into each area and deep clean from top to bottom. Make your own checklists or use mine from the printable bundle. (You do not need the bundle to follow along with these assignments.)
Week #1 Public Areas to focus on:
- Day 1 – Kitchen & Eating Nook (Kitchen Day 1 of 3)
- Day 2 – Kitchen & Eating Nook (Kitchen Day 2 of 3)
- Day 3 – Kitchen & Eating Nook (Kitchen Day 3 of 3)
- Day 4 – Dining Room & Foyer
- Day 5 – Living Room
- Day 6 – Office
I’m going to show you an example of the kitchen list from the bundle. (The purple fields are editable, so you can tweak the list for your own space. This is a screenshot of the list, when you print it, the purple fields print clear!!)

Since we’re doing the kitchen in 3 days, this is how I recommend breaking it up. It’s a big job!
Cleaning Tips
You may not know this, but you can browse all of my cleaning posts here. I have never counted, but I think I actually write about cleaning more than decluttering if you add it all up. There’s lots of posts in there that will help this week.
And yes, as you browse the posts, you can see that some of my cleaning habits have changed over time, but yes, my main cleaners are still from Shaklee … but over time I’ve added a few more brands and favorites, like Mrs. Meyers. Don’t feel stuck in a rut! Try new things and keep cleaning fresh! Pun intended.
I hope you have a fabulous first week of spring cleaning! Let me know how it goes!

Our state has closed donation centers 😫
Yes, I know that is hard for me too. I have a pile in my garage that I hate. This will end sometime. Just keep it out of sight and hold on tight.
We have been donating via a local “Buy Nothing” group on Facebook. I have been able to get rid of several boxes of things to folks around my neighborhood and nearby through ours. We just leave it on the porch and the recipient can pick it up and sanitize themselves.
