We are on week 2 of our Spring Cleaning Challenge. Remember that Spring Cleaning just really means “deep cleaning,” so if it’s no longer spring when you do this, that’s okay. This challenge is just a plan on how to get your home deep cleaned. It’s always a good time to do that.
If you missed week 1, go back and start here.
The Entire 5-Week Plan
If you want to see the entire plan right now, so you can mix around all the assignments, you can find the printable bundle here. And when I say “mix around the assignments” – I mean it: the calendar and checklists are completely editable! (As well as all the other goodies loaded into the bundle.)

SPRING CLEANING PACK Includes:
- Spring Cleaning Calendar (Customizable) – 1 page
- Spring Cleaning Checklists (Customizable) – 18 pages {Checklists include – List of Rooms, Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Office, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Halls & Closets, Laundry Room, Household, Garage, Outdoors, Bonus, and 5 empty lists of varying colors in which even the room heading is editable.}
- Cleaning How To Guide & Tips – 8 pages
- Home Management & Weekly Cleaning Routine Printable (Customizable with Sample Schedules) – 4 pages
- Household Checklist, known as the HH List (Customizable with Sample List) – 2 pages
- Kids Chore List Printable (Customizable with Sample List and Preschooler Sticker Chart) – 3 pages

This Week’s Assignment
You are going to go into each area and deep clean from top to bottom. Make your own checklists or use mine from the printable bundle. (You do not need the bundle to follow along with these assignments.)
Week #2 Private Areas to focus on:
- Day 1 – Bedrooms (Bedrooms Day 1 of 3)
- Day 2 – Bedrooms (Bedrooms Day 2 of 3)
- Day 3 – Bedrooms (Bedrooms Day 3 of 3)
- Day 4 – Bathrooms (Bathrooms Day 1 of 2)
- Day 5 – Bathrooms (Bathrooms Day 2 of 2)
- Day 6 – Halls & Closets
There’s a few different approaches to this. You can use your Bedroom Cleaning Checklist and do different rooms, item by item. Like, do all the light fixtures in every bedroom, and do all the rooms at the same time, cleaning task by cleaning task.
The other way of doing it, would be to use the checklist and go through the list, room by room. Either way are completely fine! Just do what makes sense for you.
The same thing goes for the 2 bathroom days. Do task by task, or room by room. Your choice! But either way, the checklists make it easy.
Cleaning Tips
You can browse all of my cleaning posts here. I have never counted, but I think I’ve written more about cleaning than decluttering if you add it all up. There’s lots of posts in there that will help this week.
And yes, as you browse the posts, you can see that some of my cleaning habits have changed over time, but yes, my main cleaners are still from Shaklee … but over time I’ve added a few more brands and favorites, like Mrs. Meyers from Grove. Don’t feel stuck in a rut! Try new things and keep cleaning fresh! (Pun intended.)
I hope you have a great week of cleaning! Let me know how it goes!
