We are on week 3 of our Spring Cleaning Challenge. Remember that Spring Cleaning just really means “deep cleaning,” so if it’s no longer spring when you do this, that’s okay. This challenge is just a plan on how to get your home deep cleaned. It’s always a good time to do that.
If you’re just joining in, this is what you missed:
Feel free to start at the beginning, or start anytime. I can’t say this enough – it is always a good time to deep clean!
The Entire 5-Week Plan
If you want to see the entire plan at one glance, you can find the printable bundle here. The calendar in the printable makes it easy to mix assignments around. I mean it: the calendar and checklists are completely editable! (As well as all the other goodies loaded into the bundle.)

SPRING CLEANING PACK Includes:
- Spring Cleaning Calendar (Customizable) – 1 page
- Spring Cleaning Checklists (Customizable) – 18 pages {Checklists include – List of Rooms, Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Office, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Halls & Closets, Laundry Room, Household, Garage, Outdoors, Bonus, and 5 empty lists of varying colors in which even the room heading is editable.}
- Cleaning How To Guide & Tips – 8 pages
- Home Management & Weekly Cleaning Routine Printable (Customizable with Sample Schedules) – 4 pages
- Household Checklist, known as the HH List (Customizable with Sample List) – 2 pages
- Kids Chore List Printable (Customizable with Sample List and Preschooler Sticker Chart) – 3 pages
This Week’s Assignment
Remember, when applicable, you are going to clean top to bottom. Make your own checklists or use mine from the printable bundle. (You do not need the bundle to follow along with these assignments.)
Week #3 Household Jobs:
- Day 1 – Laundry Room
- Day 2 – Household: Windows
- Day 3 – Household: Floors
- Day 4 – Household: All Things Air
- Day 5 – Front & Back Porch
- Day 6 – Outdoors
It is okay to hire out some of these tasks! As long as they’re done, it doesn’t really matter who does them.
Also, you may not get all the Outdoors tasks done in one Saturday, but this is a chance to get started and plan in the tasks that fit your house.
The checklists make it easier, but they’re not necessary. There are some things listed under Household Jobs in the Checklists that apply to “air,” like a/c tune-up, clean return air grills, change air filters, etc.
The browsable cleaning tips mentioned in the next section will especially apply to a lot of these household jobs. For instance, you’ll learn what a return air grill is if you don’t know. 😉
Cleaning Tips
You can browse all of my cleaning posts here. I have never counted, but I think I’ve written more about cleaning than decluttering if you add it all up. There’s lots of posts in there that will help this week.
And yes, as you browse the posts, you can see that some of my cleaning habits have changed over time, but yes, my main cleaners are still from Shaklee … but over time I’ve added a few more brands and favorites, like Mrs. Meyers from Grove. Don’t feel stuck in a rut! Try new things and keep cleaning fresh! (Pun intended.)
I hope you have a great week of cleaning! Let me know how it goes!
