These Summer Planning Pages are one of my favorite annual FREE Downloads I offer. I just love picturing everyone out there making fun summer plans with your kids. I want to believe that I’m helping you have a better summer. If I’m not, just let me think it anyway!
I know this calendar helps me! Every year I’m reminded to create these pages when I want to start planning our summer. It is so handy to see every summer camp, trip, activity, birthday, and more at a glance. With a quick view you can see the busy times coming, and the not so busy times, so you can plan accordingly. After I have all the scheduled stuff down, it’s so much easier to add in extra things from our bucket list like a trip to Six Flags or a trip to the trampoline park with friends. Those things don’t usually happen for me. It’s easy to see the busy times coming ahead, so I can prepare in advance to how we’re going to be able to squeeze in all the fun things I want to do.
There are 3 pages included in the Summer Planning Set –
- Summer Calendar – a calendar that from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This calendar starts each week with Monday, which I think is a more convenient way of planning your summer weekends!
- Bucket List – use this to create a complete list of your summer wishlist. No fun activity is to small or big to write down – track them all!
- Summer Fun Ideas – a big list of fun things to do this summer. This list is pretty kid-specific, but either way, I think you’ll find some fun ideas for your Summer Bucket List.

Honestly, I’m really not sure what to say about this except to just share the download, BUT google dings posts that are too short and won’t recommend them in searches, so I’m going to say a little more. (Also, this is why every recipe post on the internet has soooooo many words before it gets to the recipe, if you didn’t know.)
Summer has started to look very different with our combination of adult kids and a kid still at home. We are figuring out how to balance it all and keep making family memories. I do miss the summers where our list included buying and releasing lady bugs in our garden.
I still love summer, though. The break from making daily school lunches alone feels fantastic. Memorial Day always feels like the start of summer no matter when the school year actually ends. If you think of your time with your kids as “18 childhood summers,” you might want to cry, but it will also remind you to make the most of it. I have less than a handful of summers left before I have an empty nest. I’ve decided not to get bogged down with pressure to make everything special. The goal in the end is to just spend time together making memories, big or small. If all else fails, at the end of a long-distracted-day, pull out a board game. You’ll end the day knowing you did what you could. Kids don’t usually care about the money-aspect, they want our time!
Whew. That was a lot. I really hope you enjoy your Summer Planning Printable set. The download is completely free of charge, of course. You’ve probably already figured that out.
What are your summer plans?
From my home to yours,
Mary
