Swig Copy-Cat: Raspberry Dream Soda

Earlier this year I was at a Blogging Conference in Utah. Swig was sponsoring the conference, so there was a constant supply of Swig drinks and cookies.

I learned something very quickly: I have no self-control around Swig’s sweets.

If you’re not from Utah, you’re probably super confused right now. What is Swig you ask? Swig is a very successful company that sells dirty sodas. Dirty sodas are a regular soda with things added to it. Dirty sodas are amazing.

{Utah has the best desert/treat places on earth – it is probalby because of the lack of alcohol consumed in the state. All the non-drinkers come up with alternative creative ways to get in some fun calories. Utah really takes alternative treat options to a new level.}

MY COPYCAT VERSION

I want to share my imitation of my very favorite Swig drink: The Raspberry Dream.

I take the easy way out and use Raspberry Puree from a bottle. I had to hunt for the coconut creamer a little, but ended up finding it at Kroger.

Substitutions:

  • While I enjoy caffeine in my sodas, Matt doesn’t drink caffeine and so I don’t let my kids drink any caffeine either to respect him. I made this recipe with Sprite for my family and it was a big hit. (I still prefer Dr. Pepper in it!)
  • My husband hates coconut flavoring, so I made his with regular heavy cream. He really liked it.

Add Cookies

I wanted to give my kids the full Swig experience when I got home from Utah. Swig doesn’t only serve amazing sodas – they also make a very good cookie … it is very very good. (ps – Swig is not paying me for this blog post!)

I am excited that they started selling their cookies in box mixes on Amazon!!!

My daughter helped me make the cookies. We made this batch on Sunday and her Sunday Job this week was desert.

And my son snuck a cookie before Sunday dinner. That sneaky boy.

If you need a little treat, this drink or these cookies have you covered!

From my home to yours,
Mary
