Today we are revisiting something I first shared years and years ago and have been re-sharing ever since because it is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT things you can do for yourself. I still stand by all my previous advice about doing an HM Session (which involves knowing how to use an inbox). But, it’s time to remind you again … and this time I have a printable.
Basically, if you’re new to this, I can explain the HM Session as “How to Adult.” It is a weekly appointment with yourself to sort mail, pay bills, RSVP, sign school papers, book appointments, and all the other adult stuff we all have to do.
And if you do it every week, it can actually go really fast, like less than an hour. Some weeks I’m done in under 30 minutes.
The trick – Set a weekly appointment with yourself, a weekly ritual to get this done! Don’t just assume you’ll get it done “sometime” because sometime will lead to piles of mail clutter and school papers.
Print this reminder list off to guide you while you get started. Eventually you will not need a checklist, it will just be a habit!

And in case you didn’t know – H.M. Session stands for Home Management Session. I use HM Session whenever I refer to it in the HM Planners or in other blog posts.
