I’ve been using this calendar for a few weeks now as we are trying to plan trips, camps, summer sports schedules, teenage work schedules, and actual fun stuff. I’m such a visual thinker that it is so helpful for me to input all the things going on and actually see what that looks like. It has already helped us make decisions for this summer.
In addition to the calendar, there is also the helpful bucket list sheet as well as ideas on what to do.
Summer is best when it’s carefree and low-stress. Usually it takes a lot of work by us to make it SEEM carefree to everyone else. It’s like a duck looking calm on the surface, but furiously paddling it’s feet under the water. Even a relaxing day at the pool involves so much logistics: clean suits, packing towels and snacks, dealing with sunscreen a million times, cleaning up the snacks, cleaning up wet swimsuits and towels, baths, all the stuff that’s too much to type, and then usually still making dinner while everyone else is exhausted from being in the sun all day. Yeah, even simple “pool days” can be complicated. I’m not complaining, but I am a realist. If it takes work to make my family’s summer dreams come true, I want to be ready to make it happen.
Let’s make a plan to give our families a great summer.

Making life good for my family is what brings me the most joy of anything I do. I can’t wait to make this summer count!
