This is not a “HOW TO” because I actually paid someone to do this before we moved into our new house. I do not regret paying someone, moving is a crazy enough time, I can’t imagine adding the need to “do it all myself” – yikes.
There is a big difference between garage floor paint and epoxy. In our most recent home in Arkansas, we had the garage floor painted blue. It was a special garage floor paint that resisted wear and tear, but it is definitely a lot different than the epoxy treatment we had in our next house.
Mary, I LOVE that you have your kids hold hands to resolve conflict. Such a wonderful parenting solution!! (Also love your garage floor!)
Thank you!
Funny that I should see this now Mary as we are discussing getting this done to our garage š
Do you use your garage for your cars or more for extra activities?
The issue we had earlier in the year when there was snow – I know not your issue š – was pulling into the garage the car slipped once we got in. Not a lot but enough to notice. So wondering if this would help.
Thanks!
We have a 3 car garage and we park our 2 cars in it. In the 3rd spot is everything else – kids bikes, tools, etc. We don’t get really snowy, icy water, but I do think the texture of the epoxy may help. I’d ask the company in your area what they think, because it is also glossy looking … which makes me think it could be slippy … but we’ve never slipped on it and our cars grip well when it rains here. Goodness, it doesn’t sound like I’m much help! š¤Ŗ
That is a big help Mary! Thank you š
