Fun Snacks to Make Kids Smile {FREE Printable}

School starts TODAY here in Texas. I’ve loved having them home for the summer and will miss them, but they are ready to get back. I wanted to make a special snack for them to take to school to make them smile. I’ve used Pop Secret and Lance crackers to make this easy and fun snack. The inspiration behind the fun is Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. I’ve pulled some fun quotes from the movie and made a little snack label that will make them laugh.

Time-Saving Tip: I ordered this Pop Secret popcorn and Lance crackers from Walmart Grocery Pickup, and I pre-ordered Captain Underpants at the same time. Sooooo easy.

SNACK-SIZE POPCORN

Pop Secret popcorn is such a beautifully simple joy in life. Eating popcorn reminds reminds me of lots of fun times with family and friends. Have you tried this Pop Secret HomeStyle Popcorn yet? The buttery taste is so good.

Making the Snack Bags:

I like to save money where I can, but also keep things easy. Instead of buying individual bags of popcorn that expire quickly and can be expensive, I make microwave popcorn and split it up. I’ve learned 1 bag of Pop Secret HomeStyle popcorn fills 4 sandwich size baggies up all the way.

Download and print this FREE PRINTABLE. Cut and fold the snack-label, then staple onto your sandwich bag. When your child removes it, a fun Captain Underpants quote will be waiting on the inside.

SNACK CRACKERS

These Lance Toast Chee Peanut Butter crackers are some of my favorites. I’m not sure I would have gotten through college without them, because they were one of my favorite snacks while I studied. Lance has been making these little sandwich crackers for over 100 years and they’re still using wholesome ingredients. Their cracker sandwiches are filled with real peanut butter or real cheese. I love sharing this snack classic with my kids, it works so well for our busiest school days.

When my kids are eating these during snack time at school or after school, I thought they could use a laugh.

Cracker Wrapper:

Download and print this FREE PRINTABLE. Cut out the cracker-package label, then add a little glue-stick to the back of one end. Wrap the crackers, and press down on the glue. Set it glue-side down and it should dry within a few minutes.

GUESS WHAT?

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie is available for pre-order! We can’t wait to get our hands on it. My kids haven’t seen the movie yet (a family of 6 to the movies is crazy-expensive) and are waiting for the release on 9/12. We’ve seen the trailer and are so excited, so I thought some funny quotes from Captain Underpants might make them smile and sweeten the anticipation for seeing the movie.

We take family movie night seriously around here, and I think this movie will make a super fun movie night. Despite the title including the word “underpants” (which makes my kids die laughing to say), the movie has a lot of heart. It explores the great friendship between the main characters Harold and George, who both exude creativity.

The Captain Underpants DVD is will be available in Walmart stores 9/12! Be sure to reserve your copy now by pre-ordering today! While supplies last.

Happy Snacking to You!

I hope your kids enjoy these fun school snacks! And it’s okay if you want a snack too, I won’t tell.

From my home to yours,
Mary
