I caught Shelle in a candid homework photo while trying to take a picture of her new door decoration. “You’re welcome, Shelle!”
Yep, I put heart hangers on my girls’ bedroom doors because “why not?” I saw them in Target’s dollar spot and like I do with so many things from the Target dollar spot, I thought “why not?” Though maybe they should call it the $3 spot, because I always end up with the $3 items.
When I decorated for Christmas, I put a 3M hook on all the girls’ bedroom doors and hung a Christmas wreath. I left the hooks up (they’re white and blend in with the door anyway). So, when I saw these hearts with twine to hang, it wasn’t such a crazy leap.
I brought them home, cut some vinyl and slapped it on the hearts. I didn’t do a whole lot of planning … I just kind of winged it.
But, the important thing is that for $9, I totally brightened my tween and teen girls lives. I even had these up an entire week before Valentine’s Day. #winning
“Smile, because I’m putting this on the blog.” Nailed it.
Now I’ll go to Target’s “dollar” spot and start fishing for something fun and springy for their doors. Either way, I’m sure I’ll find something I want to buy.
From my home to yours,
Mary

Thanks, Eileen! I probably need to do something for my boy too, but he is still a little young to even notice.
