My newest cleaning champion is offically the beautiful Swiffer Duster. This post is not sponsored by Swiffer, but, I still want to thank them for their wonderful invention. I get to trap dust on this thing and then throw it away. Woohoo!
So this is a cleaning champion that you probably already love and use! I think everyone I know uses a Swiffer Duster. But, I still chose it because it is especially a cleaning champion this time of year. My dusting wand is my daily decluttering buddy.
It’s true that I’ve repeated time and time again that the 91 Day Declutter Challenge is not about cleaning, organizing, and decorating. If you try to make each week into an extreme makeover, you’ll burnout on the challenge pretty quick.
We will be focusing on deep-cleaning during the spring cleaning challenge, which trust me, will be here before we know it!
But, but, but … I will tell you about my one cleaning exception during the declutter challenge.
When I empty out a shelf or surface, I give it a quick swipe with my Swiffer Duster. It takes half a second and gives me so much satisfaction. Swiping a shelf with a duster in no way gets me stuck on any step of the declutter process, which is what I really want to emphasize about why this is an okay exception.
I’m super allergic to dust, so I take any chance to get rid of dust in my house. I wear a face mask when I empty my vacuum cleaner. I wear a mask when I dust in those random once-in-a-while places like the top of closets and tops of cabinets. If a puff of some kind of debris or dust ever puffs in my face, I immediately go rinse off my face and clean out my eyes and nose. I know that I’m probably sounding really extreme right now, but if you’re allergic to dust like me, you get it. (My dislike of dust is one of the reasons I chose my last Cleaning Champion too.)

Easy peasy. That’s what makes the Swiffer Duster a cleaning champion.
I get my Swiffer refills on Amazon because it is the best price I’ve found. I have also bought a few spare Swiffer dusting sticks because sometimes more than one of us is dusting at the same time (like on Saturday when everyone is supposed to clean their room or when we all deep clean a room together).
